Spanish software program among the most downloaded apps for the iPad

All in One, a piece of software developed by the Spanish company Abingerdale for the iPad, is breaking new ground. The program is becoming extremely popular in the USA, UK, Germany and Spain. According to the company, it has been downloaded more than 10,000 times in just two weeks, a figure that the application’s creators hope will increase tenfold in the coming months. It has even been downloaded in countries where the iPad has still not been officially launched. The secret of this program, as its name suggests, is that it offers various applications in a single piece of software. Its creators, a team of fifteen IT specialists, have managed to combine all of the functionalities that an average iPad user needs in a single application: internet browser, PDF reader, download manager and a music and video player. This versatility enables it to complete with market leaders such as Safari, the default browser on Apple devices, or Opera Mini, another of the most popular applications.

Strange Random Software Quote:

“A software mogul usually Bill Gates, but sometimes another, makes a speech. If the automobile industry had developed like the software industry, the mogul proclaims, we would all be driving $25 cars that get 1,000 miles to the gallon. To which an automobile executive retorts, Yeah, and if cars were like software, they would crash twice a day for no reason, and when you called for service, they’d tell you to reinstall the engine. “
